On December 7th, 2012, the Fifth Representative Assembly of China National Interior Decoration Association (CIDA) was held in Beijing. The attendees include the representatives of member institutions, the directors and standing directors of the previous four councils, and the persons in charge of the local associations and branches of CIDA. At the assembly, the tenure-change election was carried out; the fifth council of CIDA was elected and Li Jiefeng, President of China National Decoration Co., Ltd. was reappointed consecutively as Vice-chairman of CIDA.
President Li addressed a speech on the revision and improvement of CIDA’s regulations and put forward practical proposals for the development of CIDA.
During the assembly, “2012 China Interior Design Week”, including “The Ninth China International Interior Design Biennial”, “2012 China Interior Design Summit Forum” and “Annual Meeting for Design Committee of CIDA”, together with “2012 China Interior Design Awards Ceremony” were held at the same time. In addition, the Annual Report for the Industrial Development of China's Interior Decoration was released at the assembly.
This Design Week was supported by the leaders of related national ministries and commissions, China National Light Industry Council (CNLIC), International Federation of Interior Architects/Designers (IFI) and other related industry associations. The world-famous architect Paul Andreu (designer of the China's National Grand Theater), Pekka Salminen, a famous European architectural designer, and other international masters of design attended the Design Week. The Design Week saw various activities focusing on the professional fields of “interior design”, “art of display”, “indoor environmental protection” and “smart home”. Experts and professors from famous academies at home and abroad, representatives of well-known design institutions and celebrities also gathered together and brought with brand-new design concepts.
